A new Digital system to sign and attest the tenancy agreement

A unified digital system is in place for landlords and tenants to digitally sign and attest their tenancy agreement introduced for the first time in Sharjah.

Announced by the Sharjah Digital Office (SDO), the service enables users to complete formalities without physically visiting various offices.
Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority also enable account opening.

The new service launched in Sharjah will ease the process for tenants. The service is currently available on the Digital Sharjah website and will soon be available on the mobile app.

The service also leverages integration with the Real Estate Department for the valuation of property ownership.

The new digital service enables various stakeholders, including Sharjah City Municipality and SEWA, to review and take necessary and timely actions to facilitate the user journey.

Select the property to rent. The tenant completes the basic details of the contract and submits it through the platform for the tenant's review and digital signature. The digitally signed contract is then sent and arranged by the platform to confirm and approve the transaction using SEWA and Sharjah City Municipality systems. The tenant pays the SEWA deposit amount and the corresponding Sharjah City Municipality fee in one transaction integrated with Tahsil, the emirate's unified payment gateway.

As soon as the payment is completed, the tenant will receive a digitally sealed contract.

User authentication is achieved in combination with the UAE Pass. Landlords can also re-lease their property details on the platform.
