The Abu Dhabi Digital Authority in collaboration with the Cyber Security Council has launched a cyber security campaign.
The e-campaign aims to strengthen awareness of cyber security and risks and show internet users how vulnerable they are to fraudsters.
As cyber crimes and online scams are on the rise worldwide, authorities have urged residents to follow safe practices while surfing online.
Earlier, the UAE Cyber Security Council launched the Cyber Pulse initiative to encourage all residents to participate in cyber security to increase digital awareness. Guidelines to be observed regarding cyber security have also been issued.
Avoid visiting suspicious websites. Do not use the same password over and over again.
Never share your personal information like bank details online. Police were also advised to call the toll-free number - 8002626 to report online scams.
