The Emirates ID card holder should report any change to the details on his card to the ICP.
It has been informed that a report should be made to the competent department of the ICP within one month from the date of alteration. The holder of the ID card must be present in the country at the time of application for updating the mobile phone data and address.
If the owner is outside the country, the application will not be accepted. No documents are required to update the data. The ICP also stated that the e-service fee is 50 dirhams.
Applying for services through ICP's website and app involves three steps, ICP said.
It is illegal to take other people's Emirates ID cards. Companies are not allowed to withhold the Emirates ID cards of their employees, customers, or visitors. Only personal information on the ID card is allowed to be taken. In case of violation, cardholders should refer the case to judicial authorities.
If you lose your Emirates ID card or suspect it has been stolen or damaged, you must immediately get a replacement Emirates ID card from the ICP. Approach the nearest ICP Customer Happiness Center and report the incident.
The card will be available within two days of submitting the application. Those who have applied for express service will get replacement ID cards within 24 hours of submission of the application.
