Dubai has been named number one in a new study of city break destinations. Close behind are Paris and Boston at number two and three. While Dubai tops the rankings for the world's most popular city break destination, residents of the UAE are keen to spend time in London. The UK capital is the most searched city break destination for Emirates travelers.

Dubai is most popular with city break planners from Asia and Africa and is the top search destination on Google for people from South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, India, and the Maldives.

Dubai tops city breaks in a new study comparing Google data

Using keyword data from Google, Premier Inn analyzed city break search trends from 136 countries. The UK's largest hotel brand studied the number of Google searches for "things to do" to identify which cities were most popular with travelers from each country.

Paris is the second most coveted city destination with tourists from 16 countries interested in visiting the City of Love. European trip planners favor the French capital, which tops search lists in Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

According to a new study, Paris is the second city break destination in the world. Boston, in third place, is also the most popular city break destination in the US, topping the list in 12 countries.
