    Dubai welcomes more than 10 million international visitors in 2022

    Dubai welcomed more than 10 million international visitors in the first nine months of this year.
    During the same period last year, 3.85 million visitors arrived.  But this year, 10.12 million visitors have arrived in Dubai. According to the statistics released by the Department of Economy and Tourism Dubai.

    More Omanis and Russians visited Dubai than in 2019, which were 778,000 and 433,000 respectively.  The biggest year-on-year jump in tourist arrivals came from Oman, up 715 percent.  Also, flows from India, France and Iran are all close to pre-pandemic levels.
    The supply of available rooms in Dubai increased by 19 percent compared to 2019 to 142,782, and 7 percent more than in 2021.  There are 784 establishments, which is 9 percent more than in 2019 and 8 percent more than in 2021 levels.
    The total number of international visitors in 2019, i.e. pre-pandemic, was 12.08 million, reflecting the strong rebound of Dubai's tourism sector.  The information about the countries where more people arrived is as follows. India 1.24 million, Oman (1.05 million), Saudi Arabia (907,000), UK (720,000), Russia (454,000), US (391,000), Pakistan (279,000), France (269,000).
