New digital platform to access the services of FTA to launch

A new digital platform to improve the way taxpayers can access the services of the country's Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is to launch later this year.

This portal will allow users to pay taxes and get refunds with just a few clicks. The digital platform is called EmaraTax. FTA will enhance the ability of the UAE to regulate taxation.

It is a modern tax administration ecosystem that integrates with other influential government institutions such as the UAE Central Bank and national technology-based programs including UAE PASS.

EmaraTax represents a major milestone in the FTA's ambition of a digitized tax administration, with the full endorsement of the UAE's national digital agenda. It will benefit individual taxpayers, tax agents, legal representatives, foreign missions, diplomats, customs bodies, and verification agencies.

The mobile app will also be launched soon after the new platform goes live in November.

The platform benefits individual taxpayers by providing online access to more FTA services than ever before.

EmaraTax is also mobile-ready, with the app launching soon after the new platform goes live in November.

This project represents the culmination of many months of extensive efforts – in the area of helping taxpayers manage their taxes in a simpler, faster, and more transparent manner.

FTA's new system is in line with the UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 and proposals by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for serving the people and business community of the UAE.

In the next few weeks, the authorities will soon have more information about the features of EmaraTax and the transition to the new system.
