UAE hotels witness business boost ahead of FIFA World Cup

UAE hotels and homestays will witness a huge business boost ahead of the final kick-off of the World Cup Football.

Expect at least a 20% increase in room rates, with many expecting 100% occupancy during the Qatar World Cup. Industry experts expect the football boom to boost the country's hospitality industry.

Major airlines in the UAE, including Air Arabia and Fly Dubai, have announced shuttle services to Qatar, operating more than 60 flights a day between the two countries. Only those with valid tickets for the matches can board these flights.

Flyers will need a HAYA card to enter the stadium on the Doha Metro and avail of free transport to and from the stadiums.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, is expected to attract millions of spectators worldwide. The country, which has limited accommodation, had earlier announced shuttle services from neighboring countries to accommodate the influx of visitors.

That way they can visit Dubai while attending the World Cup in Qatar.  Because of this, occupancy rates are expected to reach 100% as holiday home prices are high season. They are currently focused on increasing the properties under our management to accommodate as many people as they can.

FIFA revealed last week that organizers of the Qatar World Cup had sold 1.2 million tickets, with the last batch of tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis until 12pm on August 16.  Some tickets are reserved for sponsors and Qatar residents.
