UAE: VFS Global announces to apply for travel visas to Israel

VFS Global has announced that UAE residents can apply for visas to travel to Israel from tomorrow. Israel has appointed VFS Global as the official tourism agency in the UAE.

Residents of the UAE will be able to submit travel visa applications by visiting VFS Global's Abu Dhabi office from tomorrow. UAE residents can apply for different visa types based on their eligibility.

Applications will be accepted for tourism, business, student, conference, medical, relatives, and family visit categories, VFS Global said.  It is expected to provide further stimulus and improve bilateral relations.

Following the signing of the historic Abraham Accords in 2020, the UAE and Israel offered mutual entry visa exemptions to their citizens.

The granting of visas to UAE nationals comes two months after the UAE-Israel Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement was signed in Dubai, ushering in a new era of cooperation between the two countries, which established diplomatic ties in September 2020.

Bilateral trade is expected to exceed $10 billion within five years, adding $1.9 billion to the UAE's GDP over the same period.
